Drawings from my daughter and photos from the book

The drawings for the recipes came about after I couldn’t get a good photo of the dishes.  I borrowed my daughters felt pens and went to work with her help.

The photo of Dad sitting in the chair in his room shows a very contemplative side of Dad and was taken in 2009.  That was after I had started writing the book and he said I could use that photo of him in the book.

The photo of Dad in the hospital was special because the hospital let me bring in The Duke to visit with him any time he wanted.
